Where does our confidence as leaders rest? For us to accomplish the eternal plans God has, He must develop the level of confidence required in us. This confidence is in God and not in ourselves. Each day provides windows of new opportunities. Ones to develop in Godly confidence, the question is whether we will walk through them.
Steward Leader Development
Consider that our leadership development includes scenarios He has called us to be a part of in the marketplace. This becomes a challenge at times as we may not always see what He sees. Each day, there will be times things seem impossible. God will provide a way for us to get to the other side. In this process, He will develop us as steward leaders. This is a part of our ability to carry out what he has set us apart to do. Carrying out these eternal plans includes a lifetime of daily steps. The question is will we willingly obey and follow them?
Leadership Courage
In the book of Esther, God positioned Queen Esther to influence people and events, according to His purpose and plan. She had a choice whether to accept that calling. She would need the courage to do what God had ordained her to do. Because of free will, Esther could have gone her own way and not stepped out in faith and courage. Fortunately Esther had Mordecai in her life encouraging her that she was given her position of influence for ‘such a time as this. (Esther 4:13-17) She courageously carried forward the message and plans God had for her. The people of God were spared and God’s plans were carried forward. Esther had a choice, and through God’s strength and the spiritual encouragement of those around her, she stepped into the unknown. In doing so, she was used by God in a mighty way.
Monday Morning
With the story of Esther in mind, know that God will allow things to transpire in your business. They will likely require courage and confidence in the Lord to walk through these windows of growth. Likewise, consider your role as a leader for such a time as this. Like Mordecai, He will put people in our path to point us towards Christ. Consider the things you may experience this day as a Leader as part of your stewardship development plan. Keep in mind that this may include planting a seed in others towards their need for God in their lives. As a result of our God-focused leadership and humility, we will be continually developed. Our confidence in God will grow and others will see and be introduced to God through the power He displays.
